Essential Qualification

For TGTs

(i) Second class Bachelor’s Degree in the at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) and is aggregate including elective and languages in the combination of subjects as under.

For TGT(Sanskrit)

Sanskrit as an elective subject at degree level

For TGT(Social Studies)

Any two of the following

History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography.

For TGT(Maths)

Maths with any two of the following subjects

Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.

For TGT(Science)

Botany, Zoology and Chemistry

and

(ii) B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized degree

II For PRTs

Senior Secondary School Certification with 50% marks or intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent

and

Diploma or Certificate in basic teacher’s training of not less than two years or B.El.Ed or B.Ed or equivalent.

III For Instructors in

(i) Computer Education

B.Sc. in Comp.Sc. OR Diploma in Computer Science of 3 yrs duration.

Note: Knowledge in Web- Designing is preferred.

(ii) Fine Arts/Dance

Degree in Diploma in concerned subject recognized by Govt. for such appointments
Any state level / national level achievement

(iii) Coaches in Sports & Games

State level achievement in the concerned sports/games
Certificate issued by SAI

Remuneration to contractual teachers engaged in Kendriya Vidyalayas

4	Computer instructor (teaching in classes III to V)	Rs.100/- per period restricted to maximum 05 periods a day.
5	Computer instructor (teaching in classes VI onwards)	Rs.110/- per period restricted to maximum 05 periods a day.
6	Vocational Instructor for craft/dance/music/art/sports etc.	Rs.100/- per period restricted to maximum 05 periods a day.
7	Spoken English Teacher	Rs.80/- per period restricted to maximum 05 periods a day.

A teacher/instructor will be paid for 4 or 5 periods per day and they have to be correct all the C.W/HW note book /test papers after attending the classes allotted.
