Mr. Soorya Narayana Bhat S (PRT) of this Vidyalaya was honoured by the President, Vishwa Konkani Kala Kendra, Konkani Ganv, Mangalore, in a function organised in connection with "Baki Baba-Birth centenary Celebrations" on 13/6/2010.
Dakshina Kannada Mangalore District Administration, Dept. of Public Instruction, DK Sahitya Parishat had jointly arranged a multi lingual poetry symposium in connection with Republic Day Celebrations - 2010. Soorya Narayana Bhat (PRT) of this Vidyalaya presented his self composed poem in "KARADA" language. Later he was honoured by the President of Sahitya Parishat. The programme was held on 26-01-2010 at Town Hall, Mangalore.

Mr. Asok Kumar V PGT(Maths) of our Vidyalaya has secured the most prestigious National Award 2008 for the Best Teacher. He was felicitated on 5/09/2009 by the Honourable President of India and was a guest in the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. He recieved a citation, a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- and a Silver Medal. Later he was feliciated in our Vidyalaya on 11-09-09. Shri. P Tamil Vanan, Chairman VMC and Chairman NMPT was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Mr. Asok kumar has 24 years of dedicated service in the KVS in various places New Delhi, Pune, Cochin and now in Mangalore. During his service he was awarded as the Best Teacher of Bombay Region in the year 1991. He also recieved the Incentive Award from the HRD Minister Shri.Arjun Singh in the year 2007. He has participated in high Altitude trecking in the Himalayan Ranges and actively participated in the Scout Movement, in para gliding etc. He is also one of the members of textbook writing committee of NCERT for preparing textbook manuals for classes 11 and 12.

Deputy Directorate of Public instruction Daskshina Kannada Mangalore, Kannada & Cultural department and D.K Kannada Sahitya Parishath have jointly organized a multi lingual poem recitation programme on National Unity and Integration. Mr. Sooryanarayana Bhat. S (PRT) of this Vidyalaya was invited to present his self composed poem in Kannada (Navu Amraraguva) on 26/01/09 (Republic Day). Later he was honoured and felicitated by the D.D.P.I Department and president of D. K Kannada Sahitya Parishath, Managlore. The programme was held on 26/01/09 at Town Hall Mangalore.
